Brian Fuller, former Editor-in-Chief, EE Times

Brian Fuller brings more than 25 years worth of journalism and new-media experience to his work as writer, editor and communications consultant. In his most recent position, senior vice president for Digital Media and Content Creation at Blanc & Otus, he used his traditional publishing and digital-media expertise to help clients determine the best social-media strategies and tactics for their business goals. In addition, he led the agency’s content-creation practice, which included blogging and Twitter services and Web site information architecture support.
Brian joined the agency from EE Times, where he worked for 15 years as an editor, the last six as editor-in-chief.  During that time, he helped guide EE Times to become the news and information source for the electronics industry and transformed the property from a strictly print edition into an industry multimedia leader in the online world.  He was responsible for a number of industry firsts within the electronics sector, including one of the first blogs, the first podcasts as well as video coverage.  He is also a well-known speaker and panel moderator in the electronics industry. He writes about industry issues and evolving communications strategies and tools on his blog, Greeley’s Ghost.Prior to CMP, Brian worked as managing editor for the San Jose Business Journal, managing editor of the Providence Business News and as a reporter and bureau chief for United Press International in Indiana and Rhode Island.Brian was born and raised in San Francisco and received his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

John Donovan, Editor-in-Chief, Portable Design Magazine

John has spent 25 years writing about technology, from both sides of the inbox: 12 doing mostly semiconductor PR and an equal amount as an editor at EDN Asia, Portable Design, Circuits Assembly Asia and PC Fabrication Asia as well as a correspondent for Byte Magazine and columnist for Electronic Business Asia. John has written one book, dozens of manuals and hundreds of articles, the latter of which have appeared (in addition to his magazines) in EE Times, EDN, Asian Electronics Engineer and the Asian Wall Street Journal. John has a B.A. in English Lit from U.C. Berkeley—which he earned while working his way through school as a microwave technician—and an MBA in Marketing from San Francisco State University. He is a member of the IEEE, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the Society for Information Display (SID). His favorite pastimes include skiing, diving, ham radio and playing with his kids.
